Outdoor Nevada Season 7 Premiere
Season 7, let’s go! This past week we had an incredible kick off event for the all new season of Outdoor Nevada. Together with Vegas PBS we wanted to celebrate the new season in the best way possible, by getting outside and enjoying Nevada’s beautiful scenery. Together with friends, family, and fans of the show, we are working to continue to build the community of Nevada enthusiasts and those who love to get outside.
The premier event was held at the beautiful Spring Mountain Ranch state park, just outside of Las Vegas. Located a mere 25 minutes from the strip, the park is a beautiful oasis in the desert. There is a ton of history as well as hiking trails, wildlife, a beautiful grassy area to relax in, and a stage set up where they hold theater events in the summer.
Together with 100 fans of the show we enjoyed a perfect evening. Starting out with some lawn games, the cornhole got intense. There was a build your own trail mix bar, as well as free beer provided by Silver State brewing. Eventually we split off into 2 groups, one for a short easy hike and another headed for a more moderate hike. I led the moderate hike and enjoyed meeting fans of the show and answering questions about what goes into filming it.
I have lived in Las Vegas my whole life but I had never heard of Spring Mountain Ranch State Park. It is truly a hidden gem and I recommend it to anyone who lives in Las Vegas or is passing through. Definitely check it out!
After we returned from the hike, it was time to watch some clips as well as exclusive behind the scenes footage from the season! Season 7 was a blast to film. We truly went to every corner of Nevada and filmed in such places as Lovell Canyon, Spring Mountains, Caliente, Pioche, Gold Butte National Monument, Winnemucca, Elko, Parumph, Desert National wildlife refuge, Wayne Kirch Wildlife Management area, Toiyabe Crest Trail, Genoa, and more!
We previewed the season, sharing some amazing clips as well as my favorite part, the first ever Outdoor Nevada Blooper reel!
This was the first of many Outdoor Nevada events we have planned, with the next one planned for early 2025. We are aiming to continue to build the community in Nevada as well as encourage people to explore their home state. Nevada has so many amazing places and hidden gems and I am proud to be from the Silver State!
